Adopt a Reindeer Brigade Wish List
The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio is asking for the community’s support this holiday season to bring joy and cheer to our members through our annual Reindeer Brigade program. With your help we can make over 1,000 Club members’ Christmas wishes come true.
Through the Reindeer Brigade program, our youth supply a wish list with items ranging from toys, clothing and school supplies. Businesses, families and others can sponsor a child or two (or more!).
A gift for every Club Member who needs us the most is no small goal. For some of these youth, these gifts are the only ones they will receive but your participation in Reindeer Brigade carries a significance far beyond the gift itself. It means, “We are family and we are here for you.” This year, please consider being a part of this tremendous effort.
Here is how you can help (choose one, two, or all three):
Adopt a Wish List: Complete the form below and email it to [email protected]. We will match you with a Club Member’s three-item Christmas wish list. Place the unwrapped gifts in a holiday gift bag (suggested spending is $25 per child), attach the Wish List, and deliver to the Mays Family Clubhouse at 123 Ralph Avenue by Thursday, December 7.
Give The Gift of Opportunity That Lasts All Year: Commit to giving $10 or more a month at www.BeGreatSA.org/Donate (select the monthly recurring option). Every year, we spend over $900 per child to provide high quality after school and summer programs at our Clubs but we only charge $50 per Club Member. Your monthly gift helps cover this gap so that our youth continue to receive the same high-quality services year-round, regardless of economic barriers. Talent is universal. Opportunity is not. Your monthly gift ensures every Club Member gets the opportunity to succeed academically, live a healthy lifestyle and develop good character – a gift that lasts through the year and beyond.
Join the Holiday Wrapping Party: Gifts will make their way to the Holiday Gift Wrapping Party at the Mays Family Clubhouse (123 Ralph Ave). The Clubhouse will be transformed into an Elf Workshop and you are invited to join 100 volunteers in helping wrap over 3,000 gifts on Saturday, December 9! Space is limited. Email [email protected] to save your spot!
Many of the youth we serve and their families can use the help and cheer this Christmas. Over 75% of them live at or around the poverty line. But 99% stay in school and progress to the next grade on time with the help of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio and you!
Download the form HERE, join the brigade and help make this a joyous holiday season for a deserving child in need!

Even the staff friendships are important to me. Mr. Derrick (a youth development professional) is like the older brother I never had. He keeps me honest and if I do something wrong, he tells me so I get a chance to fix it.
Growing up with a father in the Navy Reserves meant that sometimes I didn’t see him for stretches at a time. I know his absence helped me relate with Club kids who didn’t have two parents at home or who had trouble with their parents. Sometimes it gave me a chance to be an older brother figure to them. I also think being a military kid has made me more independent.”
Your support will give more military youth like Steven the chance to start their great futures. It will give them a safe place to connect with role models and make friends, a quiet place to do homework, and a support network that keeps them returning to the Club.
You can help more kids begin their great futures at the Club with your tax-deductible year-end gift today.
