Life & Workforce Readiness

PREPARING YOUTH FOR THEIR FUTURE
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, we aim to prepares our Club members for success beyond the Club by equipping them with essential life skills, career awareness, and real-world experiences. Through job readiness training, financial literacy, access to internships, and exposure to diverse career pathways, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio helps young people build confidence, independence, and the skills needed to thrive in adulthood and the workforce.

Career Panels

Career Panels connect teens (13-18) with professionals from a variety of industries who share their career journeys, workplace experiences, and advice for future success. These interactive discussions give youth the opportunity to ask questions, explore different career paths, and gain valuable insight into the skills and education needed to achieve their goals.

Alamo Trades Club

Our Alamo Trades Club partners youth (12-18) with professionals in the trades industries, such as plumbing, electrical, facilities maintenance, demolition, tiling, and more to explore career paths available immediately out of high school. As our Alamo Trades Club continues to grow, various field trips, hands-on activities, and trades-focused events and days will be offered.
