“I’m a 71-year-old widowed cancer survivor raising my three grand-kids, ages 9 to 11 years old. They had been in foster care for a while before I officially adopted them in February of 2014. I love them dearly but I have circulatory issues in my left leg and suffer from regular migraines, making it difficult for me to watch them all the time. That’s why I’m grateful for the Club staff who they spend time with after school.

The staff give my grandchildren opportunities to take field trips and play baseball, and they provide tutoring for two of my grandkids who need the extra help in certain subjects.

There is absolutely no way I could do all of that on my own, though I wish I could. I am proud to tell the world that God entrusted my grandchildren with me. I hope I can prepare them for life.”

Grandparents like Mrs. Stitt count on your support to give her kids a safe and caring place where they can succeed.

At Boys & Girls Clubs, kids find a sense of belonging, opportunities to lead and serve, and they find the potential that lies within them to become great.

By donating today, you’re giving more kids in our community a safe place to go after school, and an opportunity to build the great future they deserve. Please donate today.
